ROUND THREE vs Kiewa Sandy Creek

Netball

What a way to kick off the 2025 season with our first ever game under lights, made ever more special with the celebration of our beloved Coby Surrey’s (Brock) 300th senior game of netball for the Beechworth Football and Netball Club. The support from both Beechworth and Kiewa’s netballers, footballers and supporters, and the TDNA demonstrated how incredible such a milestone game is. Congratulations Coby on a great game to celebrate your milestone, albeit against some pretty tough opponents.

As the season progresses, we continue to see improvement across both our junior and senior netball sides, with increased pressure on the court, and smart passages of play. Congratulations to Kiewa for taking home the 4 points across the board.

Keep an eye out for more milestone matches over the coming weeks!

Seniors

Under the lights in a vibrant atmosphere, the Bushies started strong and showed early promise of applying scoreboard pressure on the KSC Hawks. However, a dominant first half from Kiewa saw the Hawks take control and maintain their lead throughout the game. Despite the tough loss, the Bushies had several standout performers including Brenton and Kayde Surrey, Degan Dolny, Cam Fendyk, and Tristan Lenaz. Ultimately, it was a comprehensive win for the Hawks in what was an entertaining contest.
