Seniors Report:
Beechworth faced Wahgunyah in a well spirited contest, with the first quarter proving a challenge as both teams struggled to break through. However, the Beechworth boys responded strongly in the second quarter, quickly stretching out a solid lead and showing some solid football. Unfortunately, two significant leg injuries to Rory and Hunter marred the day, we all are wishing them a speedy recovery. Standout performances came from Tom Cartledge, Degan Dolny, Hunter North, Brayden Carey, and Connor Stone, who all played key roles in the win.
Reserves Report:
Reserves record victory on home deck:
The reserves excited by the challenge and the possibility of recording another victory against an improved Wahgunyah, started on fire jumping out of the blocks to develop a handy buffer.
Matt Ryan was everywhere early kicking truly when getting he’s chance in front of goal. But to Wahgunyah’s credit they continued to fight and briefly hit the front in the second term.
After a half time spray/rev up from senior player Shaun Wilhem the boys responded and continued there strong form running away with a comfortable victory.
Strong performers were Shaun Wilhem, matt ryan, macca halloways, Aya mcinerney and Kade Parkinson.
U17’s Report:
The U17s had a good win, the scoreboard didn’t reflect the amount of pressure in the game. But their ability to start playing as a team delivered them a very good performance.
U14’s Report:
In the last few weeks we have missed a couple opportunities to get a win by dropping away in the 2nd half. This week was the opposite, we were down at halftime but were able to go to another level in the second half and run away with a very rewarding win
U12’s Report:
Another stella performance from our U12s side.
Their ability to listen to coaches instructions and excute the team game plan is a credit to them.
Very good young side.

Our entire team delivered a fantastic display of netball the kind of game we pride ourselves on. The team culture we’ve built is something really special, and it’s so rewarding to see it translate into another win.
We’re heading into a big week as we take on Tallangatta, who will no doubt bring a tough contest. But we’re up for the challenge and ready to give it everything!
And of course, with the ball next week, there’s no doubt a few girls will be putting in the extra hard yards… all in the hopes of securing the ultimate tap n fill!
