A huge congratulations to Dannielle Jensen on playing her 200th Senior Netball game against Yackandandah last weekend!
A Grade
A tightly contested game that kept spectators on edge right until the final whistle. Both teams showed impressive skill and determination, but Yackandandah edged out Beechworth by a single goal, taking the win in a nail-biting finish.
B Grade
We welcomed Dan Jensen onto the court to play her 200th senior game of Netball for the Beechworth Bushrangers. An impressive achievement, and one the club are extremely proud of. Yackandandah demonstrated strong defensive pressure and capitalised on turnovers to gain an early lead. Beechworth fought hard to close the gap, but Yack maintained their momentum and took the win.
C Grade
Beechworth showed promise in the mid-court, but Yackandandah’s shooting circle proved too strong. Yack controlled most of the game and secured a comfortable victory.
Under 17s
Despite solid efforts from Beechworth’s defence, Yackandandah’s speed and accuracy in attack gave them the edge. Beechworth couldn’t quite match their intensity, and Yack walked away with the win.
Under 15s
The highlight of the day for Beechworth — the Under 15s team secured the only win for the club, showing great teamwork and consistency throughout the game. Their attacking combinations and tight defence earned them a well-deserved victory.
Under 13s
Yackandandah’s Under 13s showed strong fundamentals and court movement, gradually pulling away from Beechworth. Despite moments of strong play from Beechworth, the visitors held firm to take the win.

Under 17s
The Bushies U17s had a tough day at the office against a well drilled Yackandandah last week. Yack got off to a good start, and it was very difficult to slow the momentum. However, the boys fought well and showed pride by not giving in. We will keep working and improving each week. Best players were Ted Ritchie, Archie Balzer, Charlie Pieper, and Justin Sheridan.

Seniors
In a tough and physical contest, Beechworth and Yackandandah went head-to-head with relentless pressure and numerous turnovers as both teams intercepted well across half back. Beechworth broke the game open in the third quarter with a strong surge but allowed a couple of late Yack goals that set up a nail-biting finish. Cam Fendyk starred with three goals and was well supported up forward by Austen Fendyk, while Kayde Surrey, Hamish Malsem, and Hayden Cooper all delivered standout performances. It was a gutsy, all-round effort from Beechworth’s 21 players, holding off Yackandandah’s late charge to secure a memorable win.
