ROUND EIGHTEEN vs Barnawartha
Seniors Football: 3.6 24 - 24.13 157 (Defeated)
The Seniors came up against a superior outfit in ladder leaders Barny. While the Bushies toiled hard, injuries and a long Season saw probably our worst effort for the year. Barny showed that they will be a finals force with excellent run and skills to carve their way through the Bushies defence.
Thanks to Jack Neil for taking the reigns over the past 2 seasons and showing the dedication and effort required to extract the most out of his charges. Your example has set a high bar for any future Coach of the Bushies! Also a special shout out to Patty and Claggers who were all in with the Bushies in 2026. No Small effort making the decision to travel each week!
A big thanks to Dave for strapping up, putting back together and general care of the Footballers and Netballers for Season 2026!

Chasing a 4th win on the trot at the back end of the Season, the Magoos came into the game with a pretty mixed up list. Barny proved too strong on the day but well done to all on a solid season. Thanks to Fruita and Dayne and the volunteers behind the two’s

A Grade Netball: 49 - 42 (Won)
Wow… what a match!
A Grade came out firing in the first quarter, setting the tone with incredible pace, intensity and ferocity. The players threw everything into it from the opening whistle and it was clear they were determined to finish the season on a high.
We were absolutely devastated when Tegan went down with a knee injury. Watching one of your teammates go down like that breaks your heart, and we are all hoping it’s a quick and positive recovery for her. From that moment, everything seemed to be against the team. But rather than letting it derail them, they regrouped, came together and, as a team, worked out a plan to get them through the game. And what a team effort it was. From defence through to attack, every player stepped up and did exactly what was needed. They worked incredibly hard, supported each other and showed enormous resilience when it mattered most.
To come away with the win was the absolute best way to finish the season. A tough game, a tough challenge and a team that refused to give in.
A huge thank you to everyone who stood on the sideline and supported us. Your encouragement didn't go unnoticed.
So incredibly proud of this team, not just for this round, but for everything they have achieved throughout the entire season. What a way to finish!

B Grade Netball: 23 - 51 (Defeated)
A real battle against a tough and determined defensive Barny outfit, with the girls working hard right across the court.
Our defensive ring put in a huge effort, applying plenty of pressure and making them work for every possession. We also saw some really good passages of play through the centre, with the ball moving quickly and some great team connections.
Christie worked tirelessly with her pressure and never stopped chasing. Tilly ran hard all game through the centre, providing plenty of drive and determination. Danielle showed just how versatile she is, moving from attack into defence when needed — and doing it all without a single complaint! Most importantly, it has been an absolute pleasure playing alongside this group of amazing women. Thank you all for a fantastic season, for the laughs, the hard work and for always trying to pick each other up.

Girls, what a game! Our best game of the season so far. A 20-goal win compared to our 4 goal win last time back in Round 8. Such a huge improvement and a true whole team effort! Harper is a strong and resilient leader who stepped up today with excellent shooting and feeding, helping drive the team forward. Annie for being so resilient and confident playing against her old team, with some amazing shooting! Lucy was brilliant in defence with amazing intercepts, rebounds and determination to win every ball!

The 13s brought great energy and effort to the court today. Plenty of positive passages of play with passing in front and lobbing over for holds, while defensively they were sharp with their set-up, turning and boxing. We halved the margin from our last meet, with Barnawartha taking the win 28–20. Most importantly, the girls showed fantastic teamwork, encouragement and sportsmanship. Be proud of how far you’ve come this season girls. What a great group!

What a fantastic final game of the season for our Under 13 Res side.
It was a highly competitive match against a strong defensive Barnawartha team. The girls dominated the scoreboard for the first three quarters before being narrowly defeated in the final quarter, with a final score of 9–6. They played with great enthusiasm throughout and, most importantly, had fun.
