U15’s:
Beechworth 44 - Yack 32
I'm incredibly proud of the 15s for their team performance today. They have such great connections between each other on court and adjust seamlessly to the changes throughout the match. That's a testament to their trust in each other, positive attitudes and a willingness to give their best effort in whichever position they're asked to play. Champions!
Awards:
Beechworth Bakery: Liv - super shooting and strong target for us in goals. Also showed great composure under pressure. Home Paws: Beatrix N - set herself a goal to take some risks and attack the ball outside the goal circle and had plenty of success doing that today. Hit her targets with strong passes coming out of defence. Sports First: Charli E. - a standout game for her. Strong holds, showed confidence in her shots and committed to her drives. Well done, everyone, and it was an awesome game to watch!

C Grade:
A hard fought game by the C grade girls, whilst they didn’t come home with the win they demonstrated how much they have improved over the season.
Awards:
Best on: Tilly 2nd: Shan 3rd: Kelly
B Grade:
The B grade girls have been unlucky in injury and illness, without having played with a full team for a number of weeks. While this is tough to navigate, it continues to present opportunities for developing players to step up, which is exactly what they did Saturday against Yackandandah. While the Bushies went down, we saw a significant improvement in the score line from the first battle against the Roos, and we’re incredibly proud of the effort on Saturday in the heat.
Awards: Kate stood up and played her best game for the year earning herself best on with the Stanley Pub voucher. Dan Jensen, always reliable and putting in 100% effort saw her receive the Nic Hotel Award. Our third award this week went to Nat, who stepped up from our U17s and gave us an outstanding 2 quarter effort in GA, significantly contributing to the scoreboard for us - Nat went home with the $20 from P&J Chambeyron.
A Grade:
A grade weren’t able to come away with the win over Yackandandah. It was a close hard fought 4 quarters of netball, the girls should still be very proud of their effort. It was a great team effort!

Seniors
The Beechworth boys faced a fierce contest against Yackandandah, with both sides knowing their finals hopes were on the line. The opening half was a tight, hard-fought battle, with clean, physical defensive work keeping the scoreboard in check. In the third quarter, Beechworth rose to the occasion, breaking the deadlock and building a handy lead through relentless pressure and smart ball movement. Yack came home hard in the last, but a massive defensive effort—led by Degan Dolny, who clunked intercept after intercept—kept them at bay. Liam Stephens battled strongly in the ruck against a tough combination, well supported by Tom Cartledge and the Fendyk brothers in the midfield, sealing a gutsy team win and setting the tone for another big challenge this week against Barnawartha.
