BEECHWORTH GRAND FINAL EDITION
Congratulations to all of the Football and Netball Teams playing in their respective Grand Finals this weekend. May the best Team win!
Whilst Premiership glory is the ultimate success, not winning a flag does not equal failure. Participants, volunteers and supporters invest incredibly large amounts of time and effort, firstly in the home and away rounds and for those fortunate enough, in the finals series. Sometimes, simply getting a team up is a challenge, then to ensure every team in every grade is complete let alone competitive is the next hurdle.
The building of a season of course starts for most clubs in the winter of the year prior, with recruits, positions, coaches and volunteers getting locked down as the Season moves on. The week in week out trials of a Football and Netball Club operations also needs lots of attention, let alone home games, fundraising and finals duty day and catering.
All of this is made possible by those people and sponsors willing to give, more often than not, without anything in return but recognition, a pat on the back or a shout out. So this is to you, and you know who you are, our volunteers and sponsors who made Season 2025 possible and those onboard for the next big journey of Season 26.

Under 17s
The Bushies last team in the finals for Season 25 couldn’t maintain their late season run of form. The Cats proved to be too good in the Preliminary Final after a very competitive and tightly contested first half. The Bushies won the first two quarters but the Cats inaccurate kicking straightened up and saw them win the 3rd convincingly, going on to win the game. Some excellent individual efforts in the game from Rourke, Tommy, Balz, Pieps, Taylor, Stoney and Buss.
Well done to all of the players for their Season and credit to you for making to the Prelim. Thanks to Coach Justin and the whole 3rds Coaching and Support Team for your efforts through out the year.
